No dia 12 de agosto acontecia também o evento de abertura da 5ª. Edição da Bienal de Arte Contemporânea de Gyumri. Os vários locais da mostra forem indicados por linhas amarelas pela cidade, seguimos para a Style Gallery, depois para o Aslamazyan Sisters’ Museum (onde acontecia o coquetel com muito conhaque) e em seguida para o prédio ainda em obras da Zigzag Store.  

The opening of the5th Gyumri Biennial of Contemporary Art was on August 12. Yellow lines all over town indicated the way to the locations of the various exhibitions. We went to the Style Gallery and then to the Aslamazyan Sisters’ Museum (where there was a cocktail reception with a lot of cognac).  After that we went to the unfinished building of the Zigzag Store.

Finalmente chegamos ao Museu Etnográfico de Guymri, onde divulgamos a descoberta das peças encontradas na região do Lago Sevan, a exposição aconteceu na ante-sala em um espaço dedicado ao escultor russo radicado na Armênia - Cepreu Mepkypoe.

Finally we arrived at the Ethnographic Museum of Gyumri, where we spread the word about the discovery of the pieces at Lake Sevan.  The exhibition occurred in a space dedicated to a Russian sculptor who lived in Armenia - Cepreu Mepkypoe.

À noite fomos comemorar em um restaurante muito especial, onde os peixes eram criados e saboreados à moda Armênia.

At night we celebrated in a very special restaurant, where they raised and prepared fish in the traditional Armenian way.

No dia seguinte nos reunimos no hotel para uma coletiva de imprensa. Houve grande cobertura da imprensa e da TV armênias. A imprensa de São Paulo notificou no jornal o Estado de São Paulo no dia 16 de agosto.

The next day we had a press conference at the hotel. There was a lot of interest from the Armenian press and TV. The Brazilian newspaper ‘O Estado de São Paulo’ published an article about our discoveries on August 16.
